Welcome! My Dog's Place is located in Southeastern Connecticut, with facilities in Mystic and Niantic. We offer daycare, training classes, and activities for dogs of all ages and levels (and their humans!). We also provide private and in-home training and consultations for all types of behavioral issues. We are the only fully licensed and insured facility in Southeastern Connecticut that teaches through ALL positive reinforcement methods and leadership training. This type of training fosters a relationship of understanding and trust. We will help you become your dogs confident trustworthy leader, therefore giving you a lifetime of mutual enjoyment. Unlike traditional training methods, we do not use, recommend or allow the use of choke collars, pinch collars, shock collars or physical corrections in our facility. Training
We offer all
levels of Obedience classes, from Puppy Kindergarten, Basic
Manners, Beyond Basics to upper level Canine Good Citizen
and Therapy dog training.
In addition to obedience training classes, we offer many activities for
enjoyment, energy release and extended training skills.
Agility, Flyball, Rally-O, Tricks & Games, Freestyle,
Watersports and
social hours just to name a few.

Behavioral Counseling My Dog's Place has specialized trainers for all types of canine behavioral challenges. Our experienced trainers can help you resolve many serious issues like dog aggression, human aggression (biting, snapping, growling), separation anxiety and door charging. Others troublesome behaviors like fearfulness -shyness, nuisance barking, chewing and destruction, rough and rowdy play behaviors, jumping up and lunging can be solved with a our leadership based training. Puppy Playgroups - 1 hour - $5 per visit
Saturdays - Mystic - 9:00 am (No group 7/4 & 7/18)
Saturdays - Niantic - 10:00 am (No group 7/4)
Thursdays - Niantic - 6:30 pm (No group 7/9) - New pups under 6 months of age are welcome to join, bring a copy of your pups current vaccinations to your first visit.

Saturdays - Mystic - 11:15 am (No group 7/4 & 7/18) Our Adolescent group is for dogs that currently socialize well off leash in a My Dog's Place class or daycare or that have been regularly been attending My Dog's Place socializations. If your dog is over 6 months and has not socialized with us we can not admit him/her into our social groups. Sign up now, spaces limited! see our class schedule for complete descriptions Niantic Self Serve Dog Wash Self Serve Dog Wash available at our Niantic location. We supply raised tubs, shampoo, conditioner and towels for $15 per dog. All you need to bring is the dog and the elbow grease. The Self Serve tubs in Niantic are available for walk-ins Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Doggie DaySchool Our Adult Daycare is a
daycare program for dogs that provides play and training
under supervision by professionals. Daycare is great
for people who work and want their dog to be active and
engaged during the day. Many non-working owners send
their dog to daycare simply to give the dog an important
social and physical outlet. Find out more about

We currently have opening at our Mystic location Mondays and Fridays. At our Niantic location we have openings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
